Women mourn the death of Palestine Islamic Jihad’s former leader Ramadan Shalah during a symbolic funeral of Shalah in Gaza City organised by the Palestinian organisation. Ramadan Shalah, who had led Palestine Islamic Jihad from 1995 until 2018, was buried in Damascus on Sunday after passing away on Saturday because of a long illness. Palestine Islamic Jihad was founded in the late seventies in the Gaza Strip following the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank during the 1967 war
