Composition of blood. Representation of the proportions of the different elements of the blood in a test tube (plasma, white corpuscles, platelets, red corpuscles). After centrifugation of blood, the red blood corpuscles settle out at the bottom of the tube (40 %, red), the plasma remains (55 %, yellow) and the platelets and white corpuscles end up at the interface (5 %).
