Kaiser Wilhelm II - a glazed cabinet from the New Palace,in Potsdam,neo-Empire style,circa 1900. Softwood with a thick mahogany veneer,decoratibe busts in the antique Egyptian style and gilt-brass mountings. The door and narrow sides with glass panes,the reverse interior covered with rose-coloured printed silk(somewhat faded). Four glass shelves,the three lower panels with central cutouts to accommodate taller(porcelain?)objects,a single drawer underneath. Dimensions 179 x 76 x 45 cm.
