This house had been rebuilt after the earthquake of 11th August 1953 and the owners lived in it up until 1990 when they moved down to the new village before the house was finally destroyed by a bush fire To the right of the house was an outside oven where food was cooked to avod cooking smells in the house To the right of the house was the remainder of the family well which until 2005 had its original ornate metal winch
