January 29, 2018 - Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain - In Barcelona the Catalan Parliament building is seen hours prior to the Catalonia President investiture debate. The Catalan Parliament convened the debate on investing Carles Puigdemont as president of Catalonia for Tuesday 30th January. The announcement came despite threats from the Spanish government that they would challenge a potential Puigdemont candidacy to Spain's Constitutional Court.
