Contractor crews from Granite Construction have spent the spring preparing this stretch of highway - from Fruitdale Road/milepost 67 to the east Concrete city limits/milepost 91 - for resurfacing. They've repaved bridge decks, done deep road repair and done miles of crack sealing to prepare the road for preservation. This work needs to be done when dry and needs warm days to help dry as well. This prep work as well as the resurfacing later this summer will require lane closure and lengthy delays are expected through the work zones and crews make sure the materials dry properly before allowing
