WW1 era comic H&K series, postcard refers to coal shortages circa 1915, due to lack of labour,


In February 1915 coal production slowed and by October 1916, coal was in such short supply that it was rationed by the number of rooms a family had in its home. By the end of 1917 gas and electricity was also rationed. Card dated to WW1 era as this card co. were in production then.
