Benjamin Crane was chosen a deputyto the general court from Taunton in1702-3 and 1703-4 and from Dighton ofwhich Berkley was- then a part in 1721the year of his death. If evidence wereneeded that the soldier in King Philipswar, the surveyor of Dartmouth lands,the deputy from Taunton and Dightonand the Benjamin Crane who died inBerkley are the same we have the fur-ther fact that the heirs of Benjamin ^.
