In 2008 on the south coast UK a large assignment of timber was lost from a ship at sea and drifted over a huge area depositing timber in bales and loose planks up and down the coastline. This is a selected random abstract pile of timber as it was left on the beach of shoreham near the fort and harbour arm. The flotsum was waterlogged pine saltwater.
