He died in 1G92 and, having no son,the title fell to his fifth cousin.—Reign of Charles I. andn. and James II. Robert Cary (seventeenth generation), seventh LordHunsdon, was the son of Ernestus, son of Robert, sonof Edmund, son of Henry the first Lord Hunsdon. At the time he was elevated to the baronetcy he wasa poor weaver in Holland. The change from the positionof a weaver, with a few sliiUings wages per day, to thatof a lord of the realm, with an income of twenty thousanddollars per year, must have been something quite over-whelming. He lived thus ten years, dying unmarried in1702. He was buried in Westminster Ab
