Early morning at the Entrance to the six room Treadwell Inn on Water Street in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada. The small Inn overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay in the center of the village was built in the 1820’s and originally served as the town’s customs house. Now the inn which includes a wine bar, restaurant and St Croix Olive, a shop specializing in olive oils from around the world. Saint Andrews or St. Andrews by-the-Sea is a small historic Canadian town, 2021 population of 2,048 is similar to a 18th century British Colonial Settlement. The village currently has 27 hotels and inns. Saint Andrews on the Atlantic coast is 2km, by water, from the state of Maine. In the late 1800s it became a summer seaside resort for people from Montreal, Canada and Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The town was designated a Canadian national historic site in 1998. In the photo, the plants at the entrance are covered with sheets overnight to protect them from the wild deer that walk the empty streets.
