A shashka M 1881 for officers of the Russian dragoons with personal gift dedication Fullered single-edged blade with two additional grooves and double-edged point. On both sides fine, partially still gold-plated and blued etching with floral cartouches and military scenes. The obverse etched with the Cyrillic dedication inscription (tr.) "1st horse Druzhina St. Buhedu from the grateful Druzhinniki", the reverse with "the esteemed G. Ja. Buchatsky in remembrance of the unit". Acceptance mark for Zlatoust struck on the ricasso.
