Ornate brass / bronze door at the southwest entrance of the Hagia Sophia, Istanbul. Originally made for the temple of Tarsus in the 2nd century BCE. Emperor Theophilos brough it to Hagia Sophia in 838CE. Decorated with plant and geometric motifs, the door is believed to be the oldest architectural element in the building
