May 30th 2013. 17 sand sculptures of up to 10 metres height built from 3,000 tons sand by 30 international sand artists are on display until August 25th at Havnegade in the port of Copenhagen in one of the most spectacular sand sculpture events in northern Europe. "Metropolis" by Andy Briggs, David Billings, Charlotte Koster, Johannes Weckl, Johanna Landscheidt, Marie Bang, Liv Soendergaard, Nigel Zabiela, Maiken Thorsen, Martin Tulinius. What does the future look like? People live in gigantic buildings floating in the space transporting people to different destinations.
