This genus, created by Goldfuss, is characterized by an ovoid and very com- plicated body ; five hexagonal pelvic plates, succeeded by the same number of quadrangular costal plates and pentagonal scapular plates,—each scapular plate supporting a pair of arm-joints. The column is round, composed of thicker and thinner joints alternating. This beautiful and perfect specimen—showing body, stem and root, is from the Niagara group (Upper Silurian), Waldron, Ind.
