John Barrett, 724th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron commander, (second from right), and Abdourahamane Touraoua (middle), Mayor of Agadez, had a meeting in Niger to discuss topics such as security issues, building revenue with local businesses and stability within the region, Oct. 27, 2022. Key leader engagements are a way to increase the integration between Air Base 201 and Agadez such as hiring approximately 190 locals and through contracts, providing $21 million to the local economy.
