In a news release March 2024 Plymouth City Council announced that it may buy back the iconic high rise Civic Centre (AKA Civic) from Urban Splash for the £1 they paid for it with an eye on creating a new skills campus alongside City College Plymouth. The lower Council House is still used by the Council for meetings and special events.
