The former Wanamaker Department Store building in the East Village in New York, now rebranded as 770 Broadway, is seen on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. The social media company, Facebook, is reported to have signed a 10 year lease on 100,000 square feet on the 8th floor and part of the 7th. Rental rates are in the mid $70s per square foot and the company can expand into the entire 7th floor when the existing tenant leaves in two years.
