Master Sgt. Jeremy Carlock, 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron productions superintendent talks with Brig. Gen. John Shapland, Defense Attaché to Israel, in preparation for the Blue Flag exercise at Uvda Air Force Base, Israel Nov. 20, 2013. Shapland met with personnel from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England and other allied partners prior to the Blue Flag exercise, which ran from Nov. 24-28. Blue Flag was a multinational aerial warfare exercise hosted by Israel, which promoted improved operational capability, combat effectiveness, understanding and cooperation between the , Israel, Greece, and Italy.
