Jeanne Pace, retired Chief Warrant Officer 5, kicked off 1st Cavalry Division’s Women’s History Month “HERStory” panel event as the guest speaker at Fort Hood Club on post, March 29, 2021. Pace enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps in 1972 as a clarinet player. She was the longest-tenured female warrant officer and the last former member of the WAC on active duty, following her retirement in 2015. Her WAC uniform was on display behind her as she spoke of the changes she saw in the Army throughout her 43-year career.
