GENETICS, CLONING

Clone therapy consists of transferring the nucleus from an adult somatic cell (removed here from the ovarian cumulus, or ovigerus) to a enucleated ovule, to obtain in vitro embryonic stem cells, and then a cell line or tissues that can be used for therapeutic purposes. Transferring the nucleus is represented here. Image 1 of 3. See also images 0276703 and 0276803.
