Planted in heavy masses, as the Rhododendrons should always be planted, on the edges of the woodlands, where the background of hills and trees is a part of the garden picture, its beauty increases from year to year. Very seldom is this done, but why not bring the glory of the Catskills in June and the wonder of the Cumberlands and the Alleghanies in April to gladden our gardens and make beautiful pictures on our southern estates ?
