Endometrial polyp. Coloured hysterosalpingogram X-rays of the uterus (womb) of a 38 year old female patient. There is a large polyp (round) in the uterus, that has arisen from the endometrium, the lining of the uterus. Polyps are benign (non-cancerous) growths. A hysterosalpingogram is taken after the introduction of a radio-opaque material to the uterus via a catheter in the vagina.
