Snout rounded, as long as eye, which is 3J times in length of head and equals interorbital width; mouth small, inferior; lips moderate, lower continuous across chin; two barbels on each side, posterior twice as long as anterior and a little shorter than eye. Dorsal III 9, equally distant from eye and from caudal, border concave; last simple ray not enlarged, not serrated, f length of head. Anal III 5, not reaching caudal. Pectoral f length of head, not reaching ventral; base of latter below middle of dorsal. Caudal peduncle a little longer than deep.
