It was but a short time before themachine arrived and gears were being furnished us at the PleasantValley shops at about one-half what we had been payiug. The firsttrolley bases built by R. D. Nuttull were designed by Mr. Emmett,who was working in the Pleasant Valley shops at that time. This order is for 10,000 plastic bonds. The Consolidated Car Fender Company, of Providence, R. I.,has issued a pamphlet giving an interesting summary of the acci-dents which its fenders have, on a number of prominent lines, keptfrom being serious. The General Electric Company, of Schenectady has recentlypublished a very tasteful catalogue on its incandescent lamps. Thepamphlet is from the companys own press rooms, and is exceed-ingly tasteful typographically.
