CS Lewis Nature Reserve, Headington, Oxford, UK. It is located just behind his former home, The Kilns, and believed to be an inspiration for Narnia.

The land behind CS Lewis's home in Risinghurst, Oxford, is thought to be an inspiration for the magical Kingdom of Narnia, from his book series The Chronicles of Narnia. It is now a nature reserve looked after by a local wildlife conservation charity. Could this oddly shaped tree be the inspiration for the beavers in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe? One can imagine the author walking through the woods at dusk, seeing magical shapes appearing out of the gloom and creating fantasies from them.
