An ornate cut Bohemian glass goblet, a gift to an officer, ca. 1860 Discoloured glass with finely cut decoration. Circular foot with facetted stem. The upper balustre surrounded by a silver cuff. Bulbous, lense-cut bowl. The glass cut in the elaborate style of the 18th century. The front with a cartouche bearing the motto (transl.) "When timbals sound, when pieces blare, then valour grows: and I deride, sans vengeance, the enemies' fury". Flanked by Prussian eagles surmounted by a canopy.
