DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (May 14, 2017) Machinist's Mate Fireman Emily Hodge, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) (GHWB), plays with a dog at a community relations project at K9 Friends, a local pet shelter, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. GHWB is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
