The harvesting of young Willow Trees to be used as a Biomass Fuel on a Worcestershire far England UK cb4w10417

Harvesting young Willow trees is one of the many new ways British farmers are being encouraged to diversify. Instead of traditonal crops or live stock the Will is farmed to produce fuel to burn in an incinerator to produce power to heat buildings. Many of the farmers have been given grants by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs agency (DEFRA). It is seen as a sustainable alternative fuel.
