Soldiers competed to earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge in a series of timed events at Camp Arifjan and Camp Beuhring, Kuwait, April 28-30, 2017. For the shuttle sprint, Soldiers were required to start and end in the prone position between laps. Events included: swimming in uniform, treading water, shuttle sprints from a prone position, track run, flexed arm hang, ruck march and pistol marksmanship.
