MERIDIAN, Miss. (May 25, 2017) Department of the Navy’s (DON) Resilient Energy Program Office Executive Director John Kliem speaks at a ground breaking ceremony for the new solar generation facility on board Naval Air (NAS) Station Meridian. The DON, Tennessee Valley Authority, East Mississippi Electric Power Association and Silicon Ranch Corporation partnered to develop the solar generation facility on NAS Meridian. The 38-acre facility will generate up to six megawatts of direct current power.
