21/11/16 Mark Adams harvests organic mistletoe from apple orchard near Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, England.

21/11/16 Commission Mcc0073877 Assigned As storm Angus lashes England for the second day, organic mistletoe farmer Mark Adams inspects this year’s bumper Christmas crop for damage, growing in his apple orchards near Tenbury Wells, where the parasitic plant makes its home. Mark said: “It’s been a fantastic year for mistletoe, the mild spring meant there was really great germination so this could be one of the best crops ever.” So as you pucker up this festive season there’s a good chance the little white berries above your head will have started life on one of the 1,000 apple trees on Mark’s Worcestershire farm, where they have been gathering mistletoe for more than 50 years. The crop, which will take Mark and his team of eight workers from now until Christmas to harvest, will all be sold online this year and Mark said he has already got orders from all over the UK, including Scotland and London. Mistletoe can be ordered online at All Rights Reserved F Stop Press Ltd. (0)1773 550665
