Arctic Circle marker on rocky coast of Norway.

Arctic Circle marker on rocky coast of Norway. The Arctic Circle, at 66 degrees, 33 minutes north latitude marks the southernmost point at which the midnight sun shines 24 hours a day on the longest day of the year. The globe sits on the small island of Vikingen and replaces another globe that blew away in a storm a few years ago.
