Leaves short, narrow, triquetrous, blightly twisted, in thickly set tufts on the branches, of a glaucous green. ]3ranches in regular whorls, smooth, of an ash grey, declining towards the stem. Buds exceedingly small; in form, and in every other , like those of Pinus hale- pensis: the buds are scarcely lin. long, and from -3^in. to^in. broad; roundish, with two or three smaller buds.
