DOUBLE-BEAT FLAP VALVE. The reversed flap on the back of the main flapis a great relief to the strain and wear of thevalve. Gives a full flow with small lift. This design is well suited for very largepump valves, section and plan. 3II WATER. STILL. A tin-lined copper still and worm of twogallons capacity will yield about six gallonsof distilled water per day. Water is fed tothe inverted siphon at D, and is sealedagainst the low steam pressure by the dropof the bend at B. Still should not be overhalf full for best effect.
