Sand Aire House and the River Kent. Kendal, Cumbria, England, United Kingdom, Europe.

Sand Aire House was designed by George Webster for Daniel Harrison in 1827-8. The house was extended in 1926 by Bradshaw Gass & Hope of Bolton to make a symmetrical front along Stramongate. To this Provincial Insurance added in the mid 1960s Kendal's most prominent building, a five and six-floor office block by Basil Ward of Murray, Ward & Partners. In 2000 the whole complex was converted into flats by Stephenson Bell of Manchester.
