He is also a descendant of Ensign James Kidder, of theBillerica Company in King Philips war, and of Nathaniel Spar-hawk, of Cambridge, a Representative in the General Court from1(U3 to 1647. The great-grandfather of Judge Mclntire wasEzra Mackintire, who marched with the Charlton company ofminutemen in the days of the Revolution. Judge Mclntire issitting as one of the two Judges of Probate and Insolvency, andbears the title of First Judge. Hon» George Field Lawton, of Lowell and Cambridge, 1894 todate (10 years).. Born in Lowell, Mass., October 17, 1845. Attended thepul)lic schools of his native city and graduated from Williams in1SC8. A successful schoolmaster in Lowell for five years, andsuperintendent of schools from 1886 to 1891, when he resignedto give his attention to the practice of the law. Admitted to thel)ar in 1877. City Solicitor of Lowell, 1880-1881-1882-1885, and188G; resigned to accept the position of Superintendent ofSchools. Judge Lawton is a veteran of the Civil war, having en-listed when eighteen years of age, in Company G, Sixth Massa-chusetts Infantry, serving the full period of his enlistment. Heis also a Worshipful Past Master of Kilwinning Lodge in theMasonic Fraternity of Lowell. He is sitting as one of the twoJudges of Probate and Insolvency. Y
