Descriptive and priced catalogue of Sunnyside small fruit nursery . descriptiveprice1884fran Year: 1884 as an exceedingly promising new varietv trail very large, dark crimson, firm, ji grower and prolific. JAMES TICK. (Origin Missouri).—An exceedingly vigorous grower, foliage healthy and of a peculiar dark or blue green color very distinct perfect blossom; the fruit we had on spring set plants was of very five flavor and very firm, color bright and of a handsome appearance. Those who have fruited it largely say it it is very productive and a superior shipping berry, fruit medium size and very uniform. MANCHESTER.—This is one of the very few new varieties that has been thoroughly tested, over a large breadth of country, that has sustained the claims of the disseminators. W hear the most flattering reports from all sources. With us it nearly equals the Crescent in productiveness, the fruit is larger, firmer and of much better quality, it is very uniform in size and shape, of a brilliant scarlet color, ripens from medium to late and all over at once. The plant is very vigorous and healthy, forming very large stools. The blossom is pistillate. Piper's Seedling and Emma are good varieties to plant with it; the Atlantic, Indiana and James Vick would also be good. Indiana.—A seed- ling of Chas. Down- ing, sent out last spring by E. Y. Teas, of Indiana. We re- gard it as a promis- ing variety, a very strong, heallhy grow- er,dark green foliage, the berries medium to large size, very regular in • form,| glossy crimson color, flesh firm, of good sprightly flavor, rip- ens early till quite latp. Blossom per- fect. JERSEY Foliage large, plant vigorous, ripens late to very late, color ' MVN(HFsfFP brilliant, fruit firm Indiana. , - , and one of the very largest and most beautiful berries, of the bes quality. It requires high culture to make it productive, but will pay well for it.
