Young shiites wearing red headbands are seen during Arbaeen procession. The 16th annual Arbaeen processions is organised by Ashura. Melbourne Shia Muslim community commemorates Arbaeen - 40th day after Ashura, day of death of Imam Hussain, grandson of Prophet Mohammad. The procession marched from Queen Victoria Gardens to Birrarung Marr.
