Bayeux tapestry


The Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidery whose designs chronicle the Norman conquest of England in 1066. Worked on coarse linen, it measures 230 feet by 20 inches. Its date is disputed. It is housed in the Bayeux Museum in Bayeux, France.
