Lance-nosed chameleon (Calumma gallus). This chameleon is endemic to eastern Madagascar. Also known as the blade chameleon, it is named for the shape of the horn on its snout. Chameleons are predatory lizards that feed on insects using their independently mobile eyes and rapidly extrudable tongues. Photographed in Madagascar.
