The Prize Taker grows al- ways to a perfect globe shape, with bright, straw-colored skin, the necks are very small the onion always ripens up hard. Per pkt. 10 ct^.. oz. 40 Ailsa Craig AILSA CRAIG. One of the largest of onions. It is a very handsome, oval shaped variety with pale straw-colored skin, flesh snow-white, de- licious in flavor, in fact is equal in every re- spect to the popular Spanish onions. Twelve bulbs have been known to weigh thirty pounds. To attain its largest size it should be sown early in spring in the hot-bed and later be transplanted. It is a good keeper for a large onion, and for eating raw we can recommend it for its mild pungent flavor. Per pkt. 10 cts., oz. 40 cts. WHITE PICKLING, or Hard Round Silver Skin. Produce uniformly small, round and handsome onions with an opaque white skin that does not turn green by exposure to the sun. The onions are very compact and hard, but at the same time crisp and brittle; altogether the best pick- ling onion. Per pkt. 10 cts., oz. 35 cts. MAMMOTH SILVER KING. This variety grows to a remarkable size. Bulbs are of attractive form, flattened, but thick through. Single bulbs often attain weight of from 2 to 4 lbs. each.
