The Senate House in Cambridge illuminated by a light show to mark the 800th anniversary of the founding of Cambridge University

To celebrate the 800th anniversary of Cambridge University, a light show featuring projections onto the Senate House and Old Schools in Cambridge took place from 17 January to 19 January 2009. Produced by light artist Ross Ashton, the spectacular light show featured some iconic images from the University's past and present. This included specially prepared images by Cambridge alumnus Quentin Blake of Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.
