DAVIESS COUNTY WASHINGTON, SEAT OF JUSTICE DAVIESS COUNTY is located in the south-western part of the State, between theeast and west forks of White river, which streamwith its tributaries, Sugar, Mud, Aikman, Veal,Prairie, Smithers, Pond, Purse and other creeks,drain the county. The county lies wholly withinthe area of the coal measures and has an abun-dant supply of coal.
