Jumbo Floating Restaurant Pier, visitors, sampan and shuttle barge, Aberdeen Promenade, Aberdeen Harbour, Hong Kong, China

The Jumbo Floating Restaurant (to the east or left of this shot), decorated in the style of an ancient Chinese imperial palace, was designed and built by Hong Kong magnate Stanley Ho for HK$ 30 million. Since opening in October 1976, the floating restaurant has attracted 30 million visitors. Ornamental golden barges shuttle visitors, both local and tourist, from the Jumbo Restaurant Pier along Aberdeen Promenade.
