In 1895 Mr. Angle purchased the MontourAmerican, which was founded Dec. 11, 1855,by D. H. B. Brower, who was succeeded byJoel S. Bailey and Charles Cork in 1864. again became the owner in 1871 anddisposed of it to W. H. Bradley and LewisGordon. They conducted the paper for afew years, and were succeeded bv EdwardC. Baldy, William B. Baldy, and ^finally byBennett & Frick, from whom Mr. Angle pur-chased the establishment.
