View SW of prehistoric rock art on Dod Law, Northumberland, England, UK, showing cupmarks inside enclosures or frames delineated by grooves. The foreground quadrilateral contains 14 cups within three concentric grooves pierced by a tail at the W. There are other individual cups scattered over the rock surface & a cup-and-ring marking to the rear. Dod Law is the highest part of Doddington Moor overlooking the Milfield plain or basin. There are the remains of three Iron Age forts close by: a portable cup-and-ring was found during the 1985 excavations of Dod Law West fort by Chris Smith, & part of the rampart overlay an area of cup-and-ring carvings.
