Granada, Colorado - The University of Denver Archaeology Field School at the World War 2 Amache Japanese internment camp. Dr. Annie Danis of the University of California, plots a map as students measure the site near the Amache high school in preparation for the next season's work. Camp survivors and descendents have joined students for seven seasons in researching the camp's history. More than 7,000 Japanese and Japanese-Americans were held at the site, one of 10 internment camps in the American west.
