MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Sgt. Justin Basler a small arms repairer with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, participates in shallow water grappling during Martial Arts Instructors Course aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii on May 1, 2017. The MAIC is a three week long course that puts students through various training to include paper test, physical training and evaluations on properly teaching techniques. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU is currently underway on their Western Pacific 16-2 deployment.
