Strip of needle lace with flowers and medallions, Strip of natural colored needle lace: Alençon lace. Pattern with alternating three flowers and a medallion with a more or less mirrored flower branch in between. The medallions are set between two flowers and are filled with various decorative grounds. On the fine hexagonal mesh ground there is also a pattern of very small meshes in a diamond pattern. The pattern on the underside of the strip consists of a few flowers along openwork fantasy shapes, filled with various decorative grounds. The scalloped bottom edge comes from this bottom pattern.
